Freegas has been a volunteer and activist for more than a decade next to his studies and work. His studies and research work evolve around the themes of sustainable agriculture, biocultural diversity and rural development. At the same time he has been an enthusiastic food activist whether organizing actions, setting up food coops, writing articles or simply cooking at the nearest people’s kitchen.
Freegas is also a music journalist, percussionist and DJ with an 18-year strong passion for spirited music. While consciously keeping an open mind for all sounds, he focuses more on indie ‘message’ music from genres like dub, roots reggae, ska, ethnic music, global bass, afrobeat, IDM and dubstep among others.
