74 Miles Away: Rhodes to the future

As we are examining MonkeyRobot’s self-titled debut EP (review coming soon) we wanted to share with you a video from their 74 miles awaycollaboration with jazzist Pierre Anckaert and LDBK radio originator Julien Mourlon.

The project, named 74 Miles Away, involved four original compositions from Pierre Anckaert Trio, completely revamped by MonkeyRobot who mobilized three singers for that end: AHU, Carina Andersson and Miles Bonny. The album of the project was released back in February 2011 by Melting Pot Music. 74 Miles Away are still active, performing in clubs and festivals.

This video is a mix of MonkeyRobot’s “Neverending Rhodes” and Pierre Anckaert Trio’s “Chromeface”.
