Dojo Cuts’ new single: from soul to rock steady

In case you missed Dojo Cuts’ brilliant second album Take From Me released roughly half a year ago you should definitely check it out. It is a soul-funk showcase full of well-crafted tunes and “artisanal”, warm-sounding, vintage production. No surprise that the band was assisted by the core crew of the mighty Daptone Records (Gabriel Roth, Neal Sugarman and Homer Steinwess).

What is fascinating is that the band manages to throw some rock steady elements in their blend – just listen to “My Lovin’ Is All About You” the second single (out since September 9, 2012 by Record Kicks imprint) from the album that we want to present here. We appreciate the soothing groove and Roxie Ray’s soulful, more-than-blistering vocal delivery.

By downloading the song you get the unreleased bonus track “King Cash” for free.
