Pre/Post Fest 2012 – August 4 at Preveza, Greece

For the second year in a row, dB sounds is organising the first and only ska/reggae festival in Preveza, Greece. Pre/Post Fest is going to be hosted at a majestic location next to the sea at ‘Pantokratoras’ castle, which was built in the beginning of 19th century at this strategic location in order to supervise both the open sea and the entrance to the Ambracian gulf.

After the success of the previous year, Pre/Post Fest brings together some of the most active bands in the Greek reggae/ska scene: One Drop Forward, Σκάγια, Sistah Jammaroots & The Oscillators and The Jammers. Workshops, market and food will be supplied by Bamboo Vegan, the first only-vegan market in Greece.

One Drop Forward from Thessaloniki play roots reggae music since 1991 – one of the first Greek bands in the genre that has performed with Groundation, Culture and Mad Professor among others. Σκαγια have been actively involved in the ska and indie circles of Greece for over a decade. Sistah Jammaroots & The Oscillators are a newly-formed band, yet most of the members are experienced musicians; with a strong female voice, their sound drifts frequently towards the dub frequencies with long ‘spacey’ parts full of echo, reverb and bass.
