Tales of a song: What is going on with the US occupy movement?

Last time we presented the brand new song of Thievery Corporation dedicated to the Occupy movement. Now is Bryan Ray’s time with  “Very happy song”. Although the music is less engaging, the compilation of images of the ongoing protests are interesting enough:

On February 29th 2012, the movement is converging again to target the rule of corporations and the way they influence politics.

The Occupy movement is focusing this time on corporations that are part of the ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council), which has put forward anti-labor, pro-corporate legislation.  People are struggling for an independent, inclusive, people-led democracy and reject a democratic system that is continuously manipulated by the 1% of the rich and powerful.

The ‘Shut down the Corporations’ action day has been proposed by the Occupy Portland’s general assembly, which calls for “a national day of non-violent direct action”. Interested local groups, after they agree to join in their general assemblies, can subscribe via the website of the action day to coordinate and be plugged in. The next national coordination conference call is set for Thursday (1/26) 6:00 PM PST/9:00 PM EST.

As the people put it in their own words:

Join us! Leap into action! Reclaim our future!
